Top 10 Jobs that you could do as a Digital Nomad.
Hey guys, welcome or welcome back to our website, I am Roman, I am from France and I live in Malaysia. Unfortunately for my wife and I we are currently under full lockdown since pretty much October last year and we can not travel or go anywhere.
So with that in mind, I have created a series of videos to help you become a digital Nomad by giving you weekly tips.
This week we’re gonna talk about the Top 10 jobs that you could do as a Digital Nomad.
Keep on reading…
A lot of people dream about traveling the world and having the freedom to go wherever they want whenever they want. In this video we are going to talk about jobs that are giving you that freedom. I have not done all of these jobs but it will give you an idea of what you can do and achieve as a digital nomad.
This is maybe one of the most common jobs as a Digital Nomad. Web developers are responsible for designing and developing websites and website applications. Using a variety of programming languages, coding and web technologies.
The second one is filmmaking and if you have watched this channel long enough you may have seen my previous video when we were allowed to travel. Of course for this you are gonna need camera gear and equipment and you can for example start a Youtube channel like this one or you can also give courses online and help others to get started.
Job number three, a virtual assistant. So what do they actually do? A virtual assistant is generally self-employed and provides professional administrative, technical, or creative assistance to clients remotely from home office or anywhere in the world. If you want to become one, try to find your niche and stick to it, which will allow you to get recommendations and find more jobs in the future.
Next copywriting, many digital nomads do copywriting jobs to get started. . A professional copywriter basically pitches your brand to a target audience. They promote or sell a product or an idea directly through some type of creative campaign. These could be ads on the subway, social media or in a magazine, a commercial for TV, a direct marketing email and so on.
The next one is something that I do and it is blogging. I am a travel blogger but also focus my website/blog for digital nomads. There are many ways that you could make money on your blog, you can collaborate with travel agencies and write articles in order to promote them and recommend a product via an affiliate link.
This is also something that I do – or have done as we can’t get out of our house at the moment. Obviously, if you want to be a travel photographer you’re gonna need camera equipment and a laptop to edit your images. You can pretty much do this job from anywhere in the world and sell your photos online to earn money.
Tour operator / organiser
Being a tour operator or organiser will allow you to travel a lot. Tour operators are responsible for organising and preparing holiday tours. They follow trends in the popularity of destinations and packages, and adjust company plans accordingly. Skills in other languages would be a big advantage in this role. So, if you speak more than one language you may want to consider it.
Next Course creator. Online course creators use different learning management systems that provide people access to online classes. You can try to find someone that will create a course for you and in exchange they will take a commission on each sale. The good thing about this is when you have created the course it is a totally passive income stream.
You can create courses for everything. Photography course, filmmaking as we mentioned earlier, language course… anything you want actually.
If you have a youtube channel, you may want to try reviewing products online. There are different ways you can do that. If you just get started, you can ask for a collaboration and get free products in exchange of promoting them through your Youtube channel and social media. However, if you have many Subscribers and followers, you can actually get paid and even ask for a commission for each sale using a promo code under your name.
We have done a few product reviews in the past and I have also created templates for you that will help you pitch a brand that I will link in the description below.
